With the launch of the M-Cask Whisky, Christophe Lenaerts is taking another step in his mission: to develop a series of regional products in which one central ingredient keeps recurring – the Kempen pine cone.
Pine cone as signature
What began with the Mastentoppenjenever, drawn on the aromas of pine cones from the forests of Heihuyzen, grew into a full-fledged flavor story. Pine is also subtly present in the M-Gin, the dark rum and even in the AperØ. For Christophe, it is more than a flavoring – it is the fragrance of the domain itself.
Now that same woodsy touch returns in the M-Cask Whisky.
The M-Cask: single malt, single cask
The M-Cask is a single malt whiskey aged for four years in a single oak barrel – which previously held the masthead gin. This single cask bottling means that each bottle comes from one cask, with no blending. As a result, you taste the whiskey in its purest form: unique, undiluted in character, and subtly marked by the gin that previously filled the barrel.
The whiskey is silky smooth, with notes of oak, a hint of resin and a long, warm finish in which you can clearly recognize the signature of pine.
Dressing with character
A special whiskey deserves a special presentation:
- A heavy, austere bottle with a solid bottom and pure lines
- A natural wooden closure as a nod to the barrel
- A rustic label, hand-numbered per bottle
- A stylish gift box – understated luxury to match the contents
The look of the bottle reflects the contents: pure, artisanal and deeply rooted in nature.
